The Global Overseas AJK Development & Welfare Association, alongside members of the British Kashmiri community, is calling for urgent action to support the establishment of an international airport in Mirpur, Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).

Mirpur is home to the families and heritage of over one million British Kashmiris. For decades, our community has maintained strong cultural, emotional, and economic ties to the region. Despite this, there is still no international airport serving Mirpur and the surrounding districts — an issue that continues to create serious hardship for families, investors, and humanitarian workers.
